A Few dogs got into the coop yesterday and killed off all of my chickens and one of my ducks leaving one Survivor. His wing is gone, I see no further injuries other than his non shredded wing maybe broken. There is meat hanging from the wound. He's eating and drinking. We have him inside in one of our empty rooms.

Sorry for messed up pictures my phone has bad quality most of the time can't find my camera charger..

His room

Awww poor drake. I'd definitely give him vitamins in his water. And possibly a tiny bit of extra protein for cell repair. Just for a few days tho. I think keep that bathing water clean clean clean. A little deeper dish to float in might be a bit easier to bathe. Maybe blue kote? Neosporin? You may need to bandage it too. Search for Celtic's thread on bandaging Angel Wing-- not at all the same thing but might be helpful to you to see how they do it. Definitely a warm, quiet comfy spot to rest. I am sure that more knowledgable and experienced people will be posting their ideas soon. Hang in there,I hope he improves quickly. Please post updates.

The thing is he's trying to preem too.. and how would I keep the bandages dry cause he likes to stand in his water pan don't remember how deep it is but he's always in it I gave him pedialyte electrolyte stuff in his water. He's got his pan and a quart mason jar full of water with tablespoon of pedialyte. He sure doesn't like me being around him at the moment will try a bath tomorrow seems he's still in shock were going to pack his wound with neosporine and hop on the road to covery

I'm hoping for your drake, too. I think it's a good sign if he eats and drinks.... But I don't really know about this type of injury, and you are actually seeing what is going on... Giving this a bump.

We got him some spray yesterday as of April 15th, sprayed him during the day with saline water, then sprayed him at night after his bath. Gave him pedialyte/Antibiotic water. My sister said he wasn't going to make it, that I needed to take him to the zoo and that the Maggot's spread to his chest. I said no of course I'm going to fight for my Lucky Ducky, also got him some girls for when they get older.

And as of April 16th he's doing ALOT better. His wound looks ALOT better. Looks like some of his feathering is coming back, BUT the other wing is drooping more, no wounds on it don't feel no break at all. Just floppy, and his leg keeps getting caught on the wing. (poor baby) I don't know what to do about that. Hes preeming, and doing what ducks do. Quacking, still hissy nippy though.

Make sure you get the maggots out, if there are any. He may have internal injuries, there is no way to know for sure in your situation (without a vet), you just need to take care of him, look up information on these kinds of things, do your best, and see what happens.

With him preeming, wouldn't he be getting the maggot killer stuff into his system and blood stream and also absorbed into his muscle and through skin and stuff?

And how do I get his good wing to stay out of his way, is there a way to put something on is wing like, make something with vet wrap, make a sling thing like we would have if our arms are injured. Something to keep it up and where it should be

If you have vet wrap you could try wrapping his droopy wing, just be careful not to wrap to tight and cut off circulation, what are you using to kill the magots? you need to get rid of those magots if he has them asap. have you tried putting hi mintyo Epsom salt water soaks to see if that will kill the magots.?

We gave him a salt water bath the other night, helped some I think but not well kept pouring the salt water on his wound. Durvet Screw Warm Aerosol is what the can says Multi-purpose insecticide spray Wound spray kills flies and maggots, screw worms controls ticks, mosquito protection premise spray. The guy at the feed store said it'd be alright to use on my Duck.
