Actually - I usually 'dose' with pumpkin seeds. Chop them up some (food processor), weigh, and mix in feed daily for ?3 days?, the again 10 days later. I do that every fall.

Once i dosed with pellets - but I didn't like that at all - I was so uncertain each chicken would get dosed!
(mix 1 lb with 313 lbs of feed ....given how chickens will pick though and how little they eat - given the ratio- I was not very confident about it.)

I would love to have access to a liquid doser!!!! (But it needs to be over the counter - I don't have a poultry vet, so no one to prescribe for me.)

It's minty green and has a perfect strong shell. Glad I listened to my intuition and put out oyster shell yesterday!

Now...let's take bets on who laid it

Is it precious NavyBeans, who squatted last week and popped those impressive wattles over the past three days?


Or mighty BlueRaptor who also has quite the set (of wattles) and has willingly allowed Slowpoke to breed her?

They're the new hot item, as you can see.

Oh also, Breezy is in love with this bucket.
The girls say no to him, and rather than chase them he goes and courts his pot instead. Ain't she a beauty?

Bridge? This is what a careless Memorial Day celebrator did to our pedestrian bridge railing last night! Glad it was way on the other side of us & not on our cul-de-sac. Dang! our chickens can sleep thru Armegeddon!
