Injured Duck

We got him some duck starter but I'm having heck getting him to eat it.
Mix a little scratch in with it get him eating then gradually remove the scratch till he recovered. They get spoiled eating scratch and don't want to feed thats better for them. Just like kids.

So how his wound looking new pics?

Id have to wait for my sister to come out to hold him in place and feathers out the way she's braver and less grossed out than anyone else. And he's already spoiled I spoil my pets like no other. I need to get some more hay so I can change him out there's like grass growing in the hay on the tarp I was like hey! Were getting grass in the house!

He's eating now a good amount of scratch and I gave him some poultry rx stuff done forgot the name of. He's eating the seeds off the hay. And he pooped a non green poop for me

He's still shivering like a chiwawah dog. (Probably didn't spell it right) anything I can do for that?

Its about to start heating back up but I've been telling every body to keep his room door open so he'd get some heat but they don't listen. He's eating a good bit of scratch can't get him to eat the duck starter. And he's still weezing some but probably cause its been cold.. poor ducky..

Ducky is doing great, and my dad said the bone will fall off at the joint not sure if thats true. and will I be able to move him out with chickens or do I need to build a coop for my ducks? hes still not eating much, can't figure out how to get him to eat more. if he weren't eating I think he'd been ya know by now.. He's healing up wonderfull got nice skin making a battle scar. Hes one Lucky Ducky. I am guessing the weezing sound is just him hissing I think.

Did you mix some corn or scratch into his Feed? I'd say give him something you know he likes and will want to eat. For mine, that is refrigerator clean out day :) I'm glad to read that your drake is on the mend, I think that seemed like a very serious injury, so for him to survive is indeed very Lucky. I personally would give him a spot of his own, just because ducks are so messy... But I know that people often raise ducks with chickens successfully. I am not one of those people tho, so if you're looking for advice on how to incorporate your drake into a flock of chickens, you might want to start another thread asking for advice from people who keep both chickens and ducks. One last thing, I would make totally, completely, 100% sure that drake is recovered all the way healed before you try any changes in his living arrangements. I have read that chickens will attack wounds on others, so if you put him with others too soon, you could be setting him up for trouble. And I don't know about the wheezing or hissing, I guess you'd have to make a YouTube video and post a link. Good Luck.
