Amen to that! It's incredibly stressful for us, so I imagine being a part of the flock (other than flock master/keeper/tender/etc) and with them all day everyday creates a lot of stress on everyone. Puts an entirely new spin on 'walking on eggshells'. I wish you the best

Thank-you I have a friend who said they will take a rooster with a few hens. So that is likely the end result of this as I hate for my girls to be all stressed and for the boys to injure themselves. I just hate that it had to happen. We had such an excellent dynamic until Bawk Bawk got hurt.

It's wonderful that you have someone to take them. Hopefully that will make the decision easier. Maybe once he's away from the other boys, he won't feel the need to act so aggressively with the hens

Yeah I am glad. They won’t be free range but they’ll have a nice run. Honestly I do wonder if he is aggressive because of all the others. Perhaps a new dynamic would help his behavior.
