You have contributed so much to this thread. Can not wait to see what you are going to do.
Hopefully Chooks Man will show up soon. Just like the Old Days. OH HAPPY DAYS TOM
Thank you very much for that warm welcome. Now if I can just find some nice Marans! Gabby is 7! Still very beautiful.

Hello, I thought you might be in your new home by now. Hope everything is well. Did I see where you had posted a pic of a beautful rooster?

unfortunately I still did not move to my new place and have no marans. I bought a bunch of chicks in june but they all got sick and died except 2 cockerels that I sold. I will put my house on sale in april and may God help me!

Good day. Greetings from South Africa. I have tried to get some genuine feedback regarding my 5 month old Black Copper Marans Cockerel. We have an extremely limited gene pool here and any birds are rare, let alone good quality according to SOP. This boy is pretty skittish and has no interest in posing for the camera. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Two beautiful ladies! Are these two still laying? My hens have not layed an egg in months.
I want to start hatching!! Looking for a couple of Cocks in Washington State. TOM
One of the hens is laying, she often takes a long hiatus. Right now she is laying one every couple of days. Wish I could help you with the roosters. Losing Antonio broke my heart. I thought about going to Greenfire Farms but it seems their BCM are no longer 100 percent French lines. I don't know which American lines they are using. Everyone I know that used to have BCM around here are no longer raising them. I recently bought some Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rock. Nice chickens but not BCM.
