I just posted my comments but they didn't show up. I like Sheldon, he is chunky and has a pretty head. His back is long, his tail is at the right angle, he has nice color on his legs and good leg feathering. His ear tuft looks dark. A handsome boy.
If your rooster has good feathering you could still use them.Thanks RedBanks. I'm hoping he continues to develop nicely. I have three or four hen. Two of the hen however do not have feathered legs. I will keep them for eggs only. I hoping to get some good hens next spring for him. I will get picture of Leonard by next week end.
If the hens are nice that is an easy thing to fix according to CM.They are not over feathered, but they do have feathered leg all the way down the shank. Sheldon has the most feathers of the two roosters.

how many chicks you want to hatch ?
need the detail of the chosen breeders . Age and weight .and the color of the eggs from each hen.
you need to catch each hen and mark her eggs no speculation . true breeding.
all this sort of information will help me to plain your breeding program .
