those peoples have no clue about the marans .they call them American marans ,that what I was told when I said they are far away from the original marans breed .

they are the one responsible for the square tail. open Fan tail etc.........

it is a reason I stopped going to any other thread . no body know what they are talking about when come to marans chooks .

I m doing the same thing . sticking to this thread .good peoples around and super friendly .
breeding chooks should be fun .exchanging information .idea of breeding ,building coops etc..........

It really is a great thread, and you'll find some of the kindest people here you'll ever encounter in the Marans world. I have never been snubbed, talked down to, or made to feel stupid on this thread. The majority of what I have learned about Marans I have learned right here. We're glad to have you in our little group.

Beautiful tail! Hopefully Princess throws some nice French tails. That is the look I prefer.
