Sometimes news like these I didn't take them seriously because its like all the other news, all hype and nothing to show for. I'm too far removed from Congress and what's going on.
Now that has been said and done, I got a hold of my congressman in my area and get his attention on this. Link and all!
Google/youtube cant go dark cause they are under contractual obligation to way to many people on the internet. They have spent a fortune to fight this by sending people to DC.
I've been following this issue for a long time and what frustrates me most is the ignorance around the bill. I have seen on a number of discussion websites people cheering the bill on, saying, "good! make those pirates pay" but they don't understand the ramifications of the bill. It's a slippery slope. The internet is open and free and that's what makes it great. Now, they are trying to control it. This can't happen.
Call Harry Reid's office he can kill it as Senate Leader.
I thought we sent people to Washington so we would not have this crap in our face and I mean having to protest everything, call reps and such. Government is way to close for my liking and I would like them not in my face.
