We try to keep the trolls at bay here on BYC. However if you spot one, make sure to click on that little red flag at the bottom left of the post and report them so we can deport them.

Absolutely correct. We do stress that the report button is your friend and ours.

Remember that the rule about trolling goes both ways. It says
Quote: It is important to remember that if you suspect trolling, use the report button. The Staff will review and make the determination of whether trolling is happening or not. Sometimes a desperate or new or overeager member will appear to be trolling when that is not the case. Do not call out or otherwise flame a suspected troll. Sometimes you might be mistaken and drive off a potentially great member who just needs some guidance and for someone to just be nice to them during a stressful (for them) situation.

I used to play with trolls all the time as a little girl. We even built a whole village out of clay with a bridge and everything. Took up the entire glass top patio table........

This was both disturbing & hysterical! Fortunately I've only seen a few trolls on BYC, which is a nice change from other sites.
