Is anyone starting eggs in the incubator today? Tuesday, May 26

Mom I just did guineas. OMG LOL. Even if you don't want guineas- hatch guineas just to watch... They LAUNCH out of eggs, sometimes they don't look zipped enough for anything to get out then WHAM out pops this wet racing striped, speed racing, thing! Like insane popcorn! Usually in pairs or groups. It's one of the best shows in batorland. They're all over the bator peeping to beat the band. It's hilarious.

I'd hatch them again just to see them hatch and then sell the keats, it's that funny. Kids would totally die watching it.

Best of luck to you all.

No, I've never hatched before. I've been reading a lot about it on this site and some others that I found with a Google search, but this will be my first hatch. Because I staggered the eggs, I will be on day 21 with these Tuesday and then have more that should hatch about a week later. I have a separate incubator to move them to on day 18. I figured that would be best since I was getting mailed eggs on different dates. I am getting that one warmed up today because the first ones go into it tomorrow!

oh ok well if you've got the 2 bators it'll work out then & I'm actually doing almost the exact same thing except I've got duck eggs in with the chick eggs. They all went in at the same time but the chick eggs are ready before the duck eggs & so they go into lock down in the other bator on Sunday. If you've got a week inbetween hatchings at the ending of the 1st group I would quickly take the bator & disinfect/sanitizing & then heat it back up By the time chicks finish hatching the bator can be a mess etc. I'll be doing this too with the duck eggs coming on day 28

I have moved my eggs to the hatching incubator and one of them is rocking a little. I have to really watch it, but every once in a while it will rock back and forth the slightest bit. I feel like this one may be my first to hatch. I am soooooooooo excited!!

I did that once - thought an egg was moving - I was just getting closer and closer to the bator.

Is your family looking at you wierd yet for staring in there for long periods?

WOW Congrats!!! Pictures please.
My eggs are rocking too.

Had to put 2 sponges in the bator to get to 65-70% Humidity.
My bator started showing 102 in middle, so anoying! Then i get 100 around, then 98 on the exterior!!! I think maybee the humidity is messing up the Ergometer and it is reading wrong. Anyways. Good luck everybody!!
