There's a saying (not sure if they have it in America) "you can call me whatever you like as long as you don't call me late for dinner".
Seriously, if that mob doesn't have anything better to worry about than you not liking your given name, they've got it good. Call yourself whatever you like and tell them all to sod off.

(PS evil? evil? are they mad? What's evil about using a preferred name?
Answer: NOTHING!
It is so common for people to use their middle name, or nicknames, or family names or all sorts. My Uncle Joe was actually called Hector. Who cares?)

Answer: NOTHING!

as I said it's okay that an uncle by marriage and his son by blood aunt goes by middle named but I am more evil than Hitler to do it, their words exactly, plus I am evil not to look like their family because I am only supposed to look like her family not my fathers side.....

That's just not the way mentally healthy people conduct themselves with their children. They should be supporting you in what makes you happy, healthy, and comfortable in your own skin.
 
I disowned my older sister some 35 years ago and haven't spoken to her since. I disowned my 2 brothers at varying times as both were low lifes that I wanted no part of. One is now dead, the other has been in and out of jail and ran away to Central America where he could avoid the law and get away with his depravities. I haven't spoken to him in years and have no idea where he is or even if he's still alive. I disowned my parents several years ago when they said that it was me that had the issues and the three I disowned were perfectly perfect in every way and completely ignored the obvious. My father has since passed away and I'm sure when my mother goes, my oldest sister will take everything. I hope she enjoys it.

You are just fine and should eliminate those folks from your life. That way perhaps you can enjoy what remains of it.
