Is this a breast bone sticking out or a growth?

DE is absolutely harmful if inhaled by any living creature... it is also used in making glaze for pottery... that is a coating of glass... does that really sound safe to toss around any animals or people?

I believe it depends on the type of DE - there is a food grade one that people use for things like that.

I don't use it, that's just what I've seen. ;)

Understand... but Food Grade just means more "impurities" have been filtered out... the base product of DE itself is always harmful if airborne and inhaled in lungs... ;)

I use Poultry Grade DE in our chicken's feed. I'm happy to listen to both group's opinions. But I don't want 50 messages fired at me in one go. @KikisGirls can do the talking for the DE-dislikers and others can back her up. @Cluckcluck1215 can talk for the DE-users.
What do you personally think you are accomplishing by using it in their feed?

Honey...forums don't work this way...
you can't request who is going to respond to you and who is not.
LOL

Small amounts of DE is actually already in *most* commercial feeds... it is a natural desiccant, so helps keep the rest of the ingredients drier...
