I believe it depends on the type of DE - there is a food grade one that people use for things like that.

I don't use it, that's just what I've seen.

Like I said - I don't use DE. Don't really know enough about it. We had some my parents used to see if it would help with bugs around a pumpkin vine, but that's it. I don't remember how that went...

Understand... but Food Grade just means more "impurities" have been filtered out... the base product of DE itself is always harmful if airborne and inhaled in lungs...

Small amounts of DE is actually already in *most* commercial feeds... it is a natural desiccant, so helps keep the rest of the ingredients drier...
