Earlier today she kinda made this "growl" sound but she sticks out her wings like when she does the chicken squat.

Oh and she doesnt move aside either, she actually kinda tries to hide them, like 15 minutes ago when I got the last 2. She did a grumble kinda sound and hunkered down more.

At their age, it's more likely related to pecking order than hormones. Pecking order fights can start as early as two weeks old.

Now since there isnt any faux eggs in there, I think the hens are confused because out of 6 hens I got 2 eggs so far.

It has been some time since I posted, I was wondering about this chicken to find out if it is a cockerel or a pullet, the comb is turning red and is completely different then the only pullet I have.

I want to say about a close to 2 months now.


The one with the back facing the camera is the one in question, the one I think is a pullet is behind it, excuse the mess, These roosters are pigs.

Probably a pullet at this point. By 2 months, a cockerel should have a distinctly bright pink comb and would have dark red coming in on the shoulders.
