My guess is the showgirl (naked neck) is a male, and the second is a female. I have two silkie hens with a single comb, and theirs looks like that. My single comb silkie rooster has huge wattles and comb. I got mine from a hatchery that I'm guessing doesn't even try to breed to standard, as there were many with single combs and some without crests as well.

Wow that is a tough one, they really both do look like males! Of the two I'd say the naked neck is more masculine looking and the other is the more likely culprit but I'm seeing streamers on both which I have yet to see on a female.

Luckily there is an easy way to tell if one is laying. Right below the vent there are two pointy pelvic bones. In a male or a young pullet that isn't close to laying these bones will be very close together. The bones spread apart to allow enough room for eggs to be laid once a pullet gets close to laying. If you gently feel below the vent you should be able to fairly easily find these bones, they are quite distinct/pointy. Sometimes in my laying girls the pelvic bones that have already spread apart are closer to either side of the vent rather than below. In males I often can't fit even one finger width between the pelvic bones (my fingers being probably medium width for a female). When I feel the pelvic bones of my pullets that are about to start laying I can fit at least two fingers width between the pelvic bones.

If both have pelvic bones that are very close together it is very unlikely the eggs came from them.

I'm very curious about what you find! I've heard from a couple people they've seen silkie pullets/hens with streamers before but I have never actually seen anyone post a picture of a female silkie with streamers. Both of your silkies look to have pretty prominent streamers so if one is actually female it's definitely going to make me a believer!

If it helps, here's some pictures of my single comb Silkie hens and rooster (wild type/no crest), plus one of their eggs:

It sure looks like a silkie egg. The partridge showgirl is definitely a rooster.

EDIT: I think the black one is a male too. Straight combs can be tricky but those look like streamers to me. Any spurs forming on that one?

What do you have for hens? Any silkie, satin, cochin or other bantam hens?

I have RIR, Barred rock, black sex link, blue stars, blue laced red Wyandotte, and r. No Other Bantams.
No Spurs, that I can see or feel. It’s truly got me stumped. I set up a camera in my coop, hoping that I can catch the black one going in the nesting box and laying, but I have yet to see haha.
move never seen or heard black frizzie crow.

I mean, compared to the Showgirl partridge, the bones maybe feel a bit more spread apart. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Is the egg that the red arrow is pointing to, a Silkie egg? It’s rather small, compared to the others. It would have come from one of these two chickens. I don’t know the sex of either one. I’m pretty sure naked neck is a roo because I’ve seen him crow. But then again, I’ve read on here that Hens can crow too.. so I’m not sure!
I'd say it looks like my currently laying silkies eggs.2 silkies eggs compared to white grade a.
