Hi all! I hatched 3 chicks all about 2 weeks ago! One of them, Steve (12 days old), is growing in these random lifted feathers. Both of his parents are smooth-feathered, as shown in the pictures provided, so I’m unsure where these gene came from if this is a sign of frizzling (sneaky recessive genes!)

Darn! I had hoped you asked this like a year ago lol 😆 mine look exactly like yours and I'm trying to figure out if it's a frizzle. Mine is just 5 days old though. What does yours look like now?

Sorry for the late response! Mine frizzled up super hard and then one day I woke up and his feathers were entirely flat.

Only time will tell but I’m hoping yours is frizzled! 🤞
