Honest question, what's the difference. Aren't they both pastas stuffed with meat and sauce?

Ravioli are stuffed and sealed completely to prevent leaking of the filling during the cooking process. Stuffed shells are giant open pasta tacos for lack of a better word, with crap stuffed in them. Like a deconstructed lasagna.
