I will unrepentantly admit Oakley are one thing I will absolutely buy time and time again. They have the darkest tint and best polarizing lenses I've found. Maui Jim were a bit darker, but they were crap quality and fell apart in less than a year. I usually get 3-4 years out of a pair of Oakleys so even though they're pretty spendy, I am OK with it. Protecting your eyes in the harsh desert sun matters, ya know?

PS. Metal frames. Not the dorky plastic garbage. And I have cheap "throw away" shades for the river/lake/camping just in case I lose them

I bought sunglasses for $1.99 over five years ago. 100% uva and uvb protection. Still use them daily. I understand having to protect your eyes. I just think people are paying for the name
