Then you did it wrong. Mine is moist, non-squishy (it is very firm, like freshly baked chicken or pork), and even has the same flavor of pork. It just does not make me ill the way a lot of meats do.

I am not vegan. I just have to adjust what I eat sometimes. If I myself do not prepare the meat for dinner, then I do not touch it and replace it with tofu.

I love to cook up some pork loin and add it to a pan (pot? Whatever) of freshly prepared beansprouts, chives, little corns, water chestnuts, and serve it all on the side of homemade mandu (Korean dumplings).

I primarily cook Asian food.

Water chestnuts are interesting little things. I’ve never had them until recently, and while to me, they don’t taste like much of anything, they had a wonderful crunch to them.
