Zoingo had bouts of soft-shell eggs and a couple shell-less eggs, too. (When she did more than one egg a day like Marshmallow). She would usually take a little extra time off before resuming. She hasn't had one now in months... it was mostly in her first 8 weeks of laying.

It's crazy and makes you worry, but totally normal!
Thanks. Can't help but worry when it isn't something any of the others have done. She was in the box twice yesterday with no egg. Today I found a soft "crunchy" she'll egg on the poop boards again. And a bit away from that was a flat shell. Like either the outer shell came out first, then the egg or the other way around. Will post a pic of the shell pieces. Then she was in the nest box today with no egg which I expected. Hopefully tomorrow she is back to normal for me!!!!

Annabelle was in the box today and didn't lay... I thought she would today since we'd she was in the box with no egg, yesterday she wasn't in at all. So then she followed it up with an egg last time. But the group before that was 4 days with no egg. So guess we see what tomorrow brings.

I thought today would be my first 7 egg day but instead basically got 5 since 1 was soft shell and 1 was imaginary. Lol

But I collected Ditzys 2nd egg today.

@MochaLatte what thermometer/hydrometer combos did you get? I was looking on amazon and there are so many choices. cheap works for me as long as I know they are decent. :)

I ordered my incubator today!!!!!! It will be here Wed. I had to get it from Walmart.com since they were out on Amazon (while it was in my cart and I was waiting) and I was afraid it wouldn't come back in stock in time. found it on Walmart for the same price so just ordered it there.

Oh my gosh, so exciting! I'm glad you were able to still get it for a good price.

I used these little things:

Marshmallow decided she wanted to be a "splash" so gave herself a bath. Haahaa
