They are 20 weeks old. And they are large fowl i think. I have a cinnamon queen, black australorp, silver laced wyandotte, buff orpington and light brahma.Are they young? Are they Large Fowl breeds? If yes to both, be patient, the eggs will get bigger, given time. If they are bantams, you'll always get smaller eggs, sorry!
Typical teenager.The brahma started laying to. After spending all day building a nest in the bedding in the coop, she just layed outside.
So ... about 5 months. They haven't been laying very long, probably only about a month. In the next couple of months those eggs should start getting some size on them.They are 20 weeks old. They layed 10 eggs all together. Most being the cinnamon queen and austrolorp.So ... about 5 months. They haven't been laying very long, probably only about a month. In the next couple of months those eggs should start getting some size on them.
sorry I haven't been around here much. Lets see I hatched Merica in June and he just went to his new home this week, he actually found his voice the morning before he left so glad I got to hear him crow. LOL but he went to a friends house so I will get updates on him.I keep loosing this thread. How are the eggs you hatched doing @junior67 ? And did you hatch any eggs @MochaLatte i cant remeber? Im planning on getting rid of 2 chickens one because she has 3 twisted toes on each foot and she having hard times walking and i dont know how to help her. And then i plan on getting a salmon faverolle, maybe 2 ducks and one chicken i havent decided on(maybe silkies)
I LOVE my faverolles!!!!!! I will say that both of mine have gone broody...... LOL one was only 6 mo when she went broody!!!!I keep loosing this thread. How are the eggs you hatched doing @junior67 ?
