It's day 14 for Welsh Harlequin babies! They are all looking amazing, and I am getting so excited about their progress! I was going to take individual pics, but they are all getting pretty dark and hard to see... so I made a gif showing how these dance dance revolution babies are looking!

that is amazing!!!!!! How cool!

Thank you so much - I am miserable! I thought I was a little better today and then really overdid it... shame on me.

I felt so awful for her to lay such a big first egg. She laid again today and it is big, but I haven't gotten to weighing them yet. Nickel is our resident fluffy face. She's a little smaller than the other girls, but I think she's just adorable.

Oooh I think thats a good sign! Sunny poked into the coop a couple times a few days before she laid... just for a moment. I hope Hummer gets back on board for you soon! I still don't know why Sunny took a 2 week break lol. They just do what they want I guess.

Oh my goodness, I hope you all are staying warm! That's too funny about your girls eating the snow but not stepping on it hahaha. Spoiled babies :bun
you need to just rest up! My husband has just been taking it easy. He felt a bit better today and is debating on work on Mon. He wants to see how he feels tomorrow first. I told him if he isn't 100% take Monday too or he is just going to make himself go backwards......

I agree that she is adorable. wow another big egg! Guess she just lays big eggs. :) I need one to lay big eggs for me. LOL Hummer was getting there with 53-55g before she stopped. maybe she will come back laying even bigger... LOL

Yes seems they just like to do whatever to keep us guessing. LOL

They wouldn't go in the snow again today but were eating it all day. I even double checked their water to be sure it was working (I have a nipple waterer) and it was fine guess they just like eating the snow. LOL

Nugget laid her 3rd egg in a row today. Annabelle took today off. Nugget was the only one to go near the coop today. LOL

This cracks me up so much. I can just imagine them tip-toeing around to get bites of snow hahaha

Nugget is still chugging along laying those eggs thru the snow! What a good girl! I really do believe they like to mix things up to confuse us when we think we have got them figured out...

They definitely like to mix it up to confuse us. Mine get in a nice pattern and then change it around on me. LOL I do think the shorter days that are now getting a bit longer are messing with mine since I have no extra light. I was going to put it in but my lights I would have to be out there to turn them on and set them at the time I want them to come on all the time and I don't want to head out there at 5 or 5:30 am to set them to start going on. Plus I think my neighbors deserve a break from the 5am crowing. haahaa. Right now they don't have to hear it until at least 7am. haahaa.

Well, here soon the days getting longer should kickstart more layers, I think! It probably won't be much longer... and no one wants to go out at 5am to turn on lights hahaha

I adore these little growing babies and hope they hatch successfully! It seems like the 6 eggs under Blackie are developing a little faster than the incubator eggs... not by a lot, but it is an interesting observation, anyway!

P.S. your packing job was far superior to the packing job of the cayuga eggs I got. All 6 of the cayuga eggs had totally wrecked air cells and I've lost 3 of them so far! I know a lot cannot be controlled due to USPS, but even though your shipment was smashed in transit to me and clearly mishandled, the aircells are in way better shape.

that is interesting about the incubator vs a mama.
