Jerk Neighor is now considered a predator!!!

Honestly, if my bird flew over to MY brother's yard after he told me not to let them (it) - he wouldn't shoot it. I mean, for crying out loud, he's my brother! Catch it and kill it and eat it I could understand, but just shoot it?

My point is, if it were a stranger, yeah, I could see shooting it, but, MY OWN BROTHER?

Why should a person have to fire a warning shot? the other person already told the OP to keep their birds off their property. That is a down side when people move to the country, "hey I can let my dog, cat, chickens run free". We had a new neighbor move in a couple years ago and they have (and still do) a nice looking red bone dobie. The dog started running closer and closer to us and one morning was in our front yard. I stopped in that afternoon and told them to keep the dog off our property. Their comment was "I can't control where the dog goes" my reply was "I sure can when it is on my property" and left. They got my meaning and did something with the dog. I have every right to take care of business on my property and I do, you only get one warning

Nice comeback!

x2 That is exactly what I was thinking. I use 7' deer fencing and the green garden T-posts to string up temporary runs. It's not predator proof, but it will contain your birds inexpensively.

OK i have to ask.

Where can I find deer netting at this price?

Feed stores here don't have it, but I have 2 Game hens that think they live next door.

i use plastic poultry wire and the green fencing posts, goes up quick and easy and comes down great also.its not preditor proof but it will work to contain the chickens.
