Jinxed myself, actual missing duck, at least 1 injured. Any help / advice appreciated.

I’ve returned from the vet!

Stitches are out. No more medicine needed, unless she worsens. She’s been cleared to swim! She just had her first swim now, very excited, as expected. I tried to get a good photo of her big wound - I think it looks pretty good!

I’m pleasantly surprised with it all! They actually weren't certain they could do anything when I first called. They don’t get many birds, let alone ducks. But they did great! I hope they got some good experience with her, so maybe they can help more birdies in the future

Small update. Everyone’s still doing great. The vet left a few bits of suture in, as it was tangled in all the scabby gunk, but the baths are helping a ton at getting it off. Nice, pink skin underneath

Blanca is more than eager to get back outside, but this freeze is delaying that ‘til this weekend. We’re getting snow tonight! I can’t wait for the animals to see it; It’s such a rarity here. Hope y’all are staying warm, if you’re affected by this storm. We should be alright here!

The snow’s pretty much all melted at this point, such is life in TexasI gave Blanca a few minutes today to check out the snow that’s left, and she just wanted to eat it, lol.

She is also, expectedly, molting & is indeed growing back some feathers that she lost!!
