Jinxed myself, actual missing duck, at least 1 injured. Any help / advice appreciated.

I am so sorry. I have had a duck get attacked and killed before. I'm so glad you found the missing duck. I hope she does well at the vet.

Oh my, she just got the last big scabby gunk off, too. It’s bleeding a little bit, but I’m sure it’ll stop soon. Now she’s wrapped up like a burrito because she’s trying to preen it:th
She’s a busy little thing, no doubt why she’s sore 🥰

Expectedly, she picked at the scab. Rinsed, dried, applied an ointment. Tried to use gauze & vet wrap, but the wrap wouldn’t stick to itself (old??). Don’t have any small shirts. In the end, she was sentenced to The Bandana™️. Hopefully she’ll keep it on. Might try a different wrap later.

That’s a great duck bandana wrapping job. She might be the next fashion trend!

I left for 1 minute, and she was hobbling around the house looking for me

Bath taken, preening done. No bleeding. Ointment + wrapped her up again. I’m not as confident with the wrapping this time, but hopefully it’ll still last a few hours. It’s gonna be a rainy, sleepy day today ☔

What about an inverted Elizabethan collar, like what's used for dogs, but backwards. It might be hard to secure it but if you could, that would keep her beak off it and still let it get air.
I considered this, but I wasn’t sure where to find one / how to make one.
