July 14th - NEWBIE Set 11 eggs at 2PM CST. Anyone wanna join me?

I wouldn't, but that may just be me. I have very limited experience, but I've only heard of assisting after pipping. I have looked at eggs on day 22. I know how hard it is to be patient.

I'm on the edge of my seat! I pray all goes well!

I just got a call from home that there's one little fluffy chick in the incubator and at least one more egg pipping! I can't wait to get home. Don't lose hope, Contessa.

Still nothing today. No noise (although can you really hear chirping through the shell, over the fan noise?!), no holes, no movement. We're chicken killers, we are.

What day is it for your eggs? The 22nd? as for the cooked corn smell... Maybe try re-checking your temperatures? Are you sure it isn't too hot in there? Although, I really do think incubating eggs have their own sort of unique smell. Your temperature fluctuations may be the cause of your chickies hatching a little late. If you get to like day 24... or maybe even day 25... I would maybe do a float test... I hope your hatch goes well! Don't give up hope! Good luck to you!

We're moving into day 23, and nothing. I'm going to pull them out in the morning and candle to see if there have been any changes. I'm thinking we just don't have any viable eggs. If not, I'm going to wash everything and I have eggs ready to go for a 2nd hatching attempt.

How is everyone doing? Getting their chickies?

Were on day 30 (ducks) and 1 is chirping and rocking and making progress but very very slowly. Im worried neither one are going to make it as its been 36 hrs since 1st pip...

I ended up with 4 chicks, unless there are some real stragglers. I helped one that was taking a long time. That egg was actually from my chickens. I'm very excited. It's our first farm baby.
