I have 34 chicks in the brooder with more on the way! The one time I don’t actually have the itch! I’m crawling in fluff!

Me too. Mine are supposed to be held for pickup, so I just have to go pick them up and drive 5 mph on the way home, lol! Gonna candle them all as soon as they get here.

The poor USPS as well as UPS had NO AC and we've been hitting 99 like carazy!
Well it was 94 when I went to pick them up and I was admiring how cool it was in there that they had AC after all the UPS store even with fans was still sitting at 94!
The USPS laughed and said "girl u see these fans!" I was like oh! Guess I was too eggcited!
So she comes back from getting the box of eggs and as she comes round the corner to keep she acts like she's gonna trip and fall! I'm such a dufus I didn't even think bout the eggs and was concerned she was Fallin! So that made it even funnier!

Ok you have me beat. I have 20 from 1-10 weeks. LOL I need to start finding homes for the few I can but have a friend that was taking 2 and she hasn't told me what she wants yet. UGH!

My eggs should be here tomorrow!!!!! One has updated and I fully believe that will be here. I was able to request that they hold that one at the PO. Of course I have to work so can't pick it up until later in the day! UGH!!

The 2nd one also says should come tomorrow but it hasn't updated besides to say "in transit and will arrive on time". That one didn't give me the option to request that they hold it at the PO. I thought maybe it just needed to get more into the system but it still won't let me! UGH!!!! I did try one way but not sure if it worked. Hoping my mail carrier remembers and just leaves it for me anyways! Guess I will see.

Now for the part that I am NOT thrilled about. They SHOULD have been here last Wed/Thurs.... but due to many different things from each seller they were held up so not coming until tomorrow...... Well We are going away the 16 (was going to be the night of the 15th but now early am the 16) until mid day the 17. If I set them tomorrow night or even Sat am they are due to hatch basically while I am gone! So I am going to hope for the best and store them until Mon (the 3 eggs that I have actually gotten to hatch have all hatched on day 20. 2 different batches weeks apart from each other. the first one had 1 in the incubator and 1 under my broody. 2nd batch, 1 egg, was under a broody.... but they still all hatched on day 20. So don't want to set them Fri-Sat since they could hatch on Thurs-Sun and we are gone Sat and sun and don't want to set on Sun since there is a good chance they will start to hatch on Sat when we are gone. So figure if I set them Mon hopefully we will be home before any hatch on Sun and will be home the week after.....

I know the first box of eggs were laid Mon and Tue so they will be 6-7 days old when I set them.

the 2nd set I think was laid sometime between Mon-Wed since she had an issue and had to start collecting again and didn't ship until Wed afternoon so at most they will be a week as well.

REALLY hope the 3 days of holding them doesn't hurt them and if anything HELPS if any have messed up air cells.

But day 21 will be July 18!

I have just gone through ebay. this is my 3rd/4th attempt. The first one I got 2 to hatch but they were not the breed that I had ordered! the 2nd attempt nothing developed at all. Found a 3rd seller that I liked what she had to say since if you get a poor hatch rate or none hatch she will ship them out for just shipping etc. So after I ordered those the 2nd seller got back to me (saying she thought she had already replied) and she offers 50% off... so decided to order more from her and see.

I planned it since we are going out of state July 16 & 17 (was the 15) to help a friend, then going out of town camping the 22-24..... so knew I would get my eggs that they would hatch about a week before we went away so they would be in the brooder and all set up before we went away....... then all the shipping delays happened. UGH!

I will be doing a HAL but after my poor luck I am waiting till day 4-7 to start it so only one that have at least started to do something are in it.

Thankfully the delays were all pre-shipping. So just delays in the sellers getting them into the mail. One was mailed Tue and will be here today so 3 days in the postal system, the other was mailed Wed so 2 days. So I am happy about that. The one that was mailed Wed ... Her house AC went out so she was worried storing the eggs with the house hot would mess up the fertility/hatching so she tossed those eggs and started to collect fresh ones after AC was fixed. So that delayed her.
