July 2022 Hatch-A-Long

Starting the thread early as I just set a dozen turkey eggs that are due to hatch July 4th. I had to resort to hatching my own as my turkey order was cancelled and I could not order any from anywhere else in the time frame I needed. As it is, most of these once they hatch will go to freezer camp late, but I can at least harvest the biggest for the holidays.

Update day 4 of shipped peafowl... I saw babies in 4 eggs for sure. Here's a little heartbeat!!

Out checking the chickens this morning and just discovered this! One of the wild chickens brought her 10 babies to visit!

Just had to brag a bit about my birds’ eggs!
Would love a more teal colored egg too, but I’m happy with these.
Took a few years to get these egg colors!

Not hatchalong related, but I got a first egg today!!! From my 19 week old Barred Rocks from TSC. I love the color, and it's so cute and tiny! Sheryl Crow did us proud today! She even laid it in the nesting box like a good girl ❤

Update: Cream Legbar chick made it through the night and the limp has disappeared. Astounding recovery!
