I'm due to go into Lockdown on either late pm on the 27th or early am on the 28th, and then the last batch on the 1st.
Hatch dates are 30/31st & the 4th

I want them all to be ok

I'll bump the humity up to 50-55% on the 25th- as I'm not sure those little D'Unccles are going to wait til hatch date!!! They seem further along in the egg already!!!

My lockdown isn't actually until tomorrow, but we won't be here so I'll be putting my Seramas into lockdown tonight sometime. I'm going to candle, here's hoping they're all wigglin around in there!

Hi! I would love to join ya'll in the hatch-along. I have a hen setting on 7 eggs, due 8/1. I candled them Monday (day 7) but I am not experienced so I have no idea if any were good. I saw what looked like veining in a few, and almost all of them had a dark area toward the middle, and a lighter area at the tip. I've looked on youtube, etc, but I really can't tell.

Anyway, I've got a batch with one OEGB egg, 2 BLRWs, and the rest are mutts. The mutts are a combo of a BSL and a HILARIOUS looking polish-mutt roo. His bottom half looks like the Kellog's Cornflake Roo, but he has a polish head. I got them all from my friend, who calls the roo "Rod Stewart" with good reason. I'll see if I can post a pic of the "baby daddy." Anyway, sorry for the long post, just very excited for my first hatch from a broody!

OK here's a post of the "baby daddy". Imagine that combined with a BSL. (You can actually see her in the background, far right). Man, I can't wait. I love chicken genetics!

I have some eggs that should hatch around the 28th. Not sure when she started sitting on them cause I was out of town for a week. This is my first batch of eggs with my first hen and this is the first time she has sat on eggs. Hope everything works out. She was on five buff chantecler eggs, then I added five cuckoo moran eggs I got from a friend and I guess my buff orphingtons wanted to join the party so they laid four eggs under her. She has been on them steady until today. When I looked in the nesting box, she had four eggs pushed to the other end and wasn't sitting on them. does that mean anything? I thought maybe she knew that they were bad or something.

I want to steal the striped one!! (is that Bugzy or the darker brown one?)

Bugzy is in the right hand corner of all the pictures.

Yes, I can't wait to see if they look like their parents or not!

Posey, I think that roo is very pretty...beautiful colors..mixes are fun..I have some in, can't wait to see them.

Daniel..I have never had a broody, I wonder too if she knows something. Maybe someone here will know. You can go ask on another thread if not..it would be good to get some insight, then you could come back here and let us know what you found out.
