Picked up seven dozen eggs today (@FortCluck I paid 35 total), barnyard of course. Had to candle 22 of them to figure out which side was up, I hope that doesn't cause me too many issues.

Here is a pic as they were going in the incubator.

Hatch date is scheduled for July 2nd. I couldn't hold them out as the seller washes them and some were already three days old.

I’m picking up more chicks tomorrow 😂 Sultans and Polish.

That’s a killer deal for those!!! Are you selling them once they hatch or keeping them?

What breed are those?

How much do you plan on selling them for?
The breeds I am getting to keep are black, blue, splash Maran and creme Legbar. I am timing the incubating to line up with two different chick orders. More creme Legbar, white Dorking, Delaware, light Sussex, Dominique and some roos for a project. Next spring I will have three to four dozen eggs a day and an new design of diy incubator that will rival the Sportsman 1501.

I am super excited for next year.

The incubator is now full of a mix that comes from:. Americuna, Barred Rock, Buff Orphington, Golden Buff, Jersey Giant, Leghorn, Rhode Island Red and Welsummer
