I set 6 Blue Birchen Marans eggs and 8 Opal Legbar eggs.

Think I just died from their prices

I guess I’m just used to picking mine from the coop And if I do buy I think the most I spend was $12 on a dozen local BCM eggs that come from good bloodlines

Wow, that's an amazing price!! I could barely get mixes for that around here.

I paid $45 plus shipping - breaks down to $3.00 an egg plus shipping, which I don't think is too terrible considering I would probably have to spend just as much in gas to go get eggs for the breeds I want plus lose time going to get them. Everyone in this area seems to have the more common breeds that are easily available through the feed stores, so I would have to travel quite a ways.

ETA: These were reasonably priced compared to others! There are some being sold by individual egg that are going for $27.00 each. The person I got my Wheaten Marans eggs from had some auctions go as high as $71.00 for 10 eggs. It's crazy!

Ayam cemani eggs are going for that still around here and $50+ for chicks. I don't get it.

I felt very splurgy to spend $60 plus shipping on the 12 duck eggs that were then shipped willy nilly last month, but I guess it could have been way worse. I think you did good for $45.

I’m a cheap person. I usually only buy good deals. I got 10 chicks for $30 just now.

I'm missing the 4th too, thanks to the post office. So much fun to hatch a long even a few days behind!
