Give it time and youāll be hatching. Maybe in the fall or winterWish I had some hatchable eggs, but my cockerels are not yet nine weeks old!
In some way my favorite time to hatch. My ducks and chickens that hatched in the fall all started laying early spring which was nice.Give it time and youāll be hatching. Maybe in the fall or winter
Yes! I like hatching in winter like December because then I can sell POL in the early spring when everyone is buyingI've got a duck that's been toying with the idea of going broody for a while, but now seems committed to the idea. I have ducks that hatched Sunday and I'm wondering if I could safely give them to her and if anyone has any thoughts about that.

Hatch in June, June thread, hatch in July, July thread. All are welcome to come and hang out though. Beware, there is a broody sickness spreading through the group though.
Wish I could have a forth of July hatch! But my duck eggs will be here Friday and that will be a week late to set them for the forth. ā¹Don't forget to set your chicken eggs on June 13th to be part of the 4th of July Hatch

I was talking to @jolenesdad complaining that I didn't have a broody. Within a day I had 3 then 4 because my muscovy decided to join the Broody Party. All of my cochins (2) are sitting on eggs and my bantam brahma is on eggs too. The bantam brahma is only 6 months old and is already becoming a mom. I literally feel like I just hatched her from the egg not long ago.I am still only at 1 broody. Mine must be immune. LOL!
ETA.....I probably just jinxed myself. LOL!
