July Hatch-a-Long (including 4th of July hatch-a-long)

So disappointed right now! I ordered my first batch of eggs from eBay last Wednesday to be shipped Monday so I could set for the Fourth of July hatch along and just found out my eggs won’t be shipped till probably next Monday! They actually had a 8th or 9th arrival date in the ad but I knew shipping these days is taking a little longer but not to even get them shipped for over a week after I bought them is disappointing. Is this how buying eggs off eBay goes. It’s made me very leary of ever buying from eBay again. Or am I just being a baby.

Some ebay sellers pre sell their eggs. Sometimes they state that in the description and sometimes they don't. I have waited for nearly a month for silkie eggs, but the seller is absolutely wonderful!

Thank you guys. I will probably go ahead and set the eggs I have now and wait for my shipped eggs to get here. Might be an excuse to get another incubator if my other one isn’t empty by the time they get here.

Well I officially had a conversation with my friend. I'm going to give her a 1 week heads up to start collecting eggs so I can bring her chicks from the June hatch and get eggs for the July hatch. We're all weak. LOL

I set my turkeys today finally. They don't look too good. One of the eggs was scrambled and nearly exploded in my hand. Fingers crossed for the other 11. I also have a dozen guineas in and broody duck is on a stash of 16. Trading ducklings for more turkey eggs tomorrow. These will be my backup in case shipped eggs are duds.

One Bator load. I only have the one Bator, making another one soon.

The last hatch is selling out in 30 more minutes and the people are so desperate. I offer coaching and assistance to the nice ones, unlike the feed stores.

I don’t even know what I’m hatching for July 4th. I think I got more Polish Deathlayers brewing. I put them in two days ago.
