June Hatch-A-Long

10 more days til lock down on my 13 and 16 shipped although 3 were clear..so now I'm down to 12 of mine and 14 shipped eggs. I have another 18 shipped eggs with 13 days until lock down. I don't think any of the later 18 will do anything though. They hot pretty shaken up en route. But we will see I guess. I'm still gathering more from my hens for my next hatch. Trying to work out another pen so I can separate my slam on faverolles so I can have some more full faverolles hens, then I'm going to put those hens with my buff roo so I can have more sex linked chicks. Had no idea that is what I was making. Thank you byc for explaining to me how I was getting all white chicks out of the chickens I have, but it is because they are sex linked. Lol. So the whites are my boys. Which explains why they all seem to turn into boys...lol

Gloria the broody definitely has some babies today! I heard lots of peeping from under the fluff. Of course she is not ready to share yet. Today is day 21 so I will let her do her thing but I can't wait for that first lil head to pop out and say hi!

There is no such thing as Pure Americana... they are a mix breed that lay blu and green eggs that hatcheries decided to call a "breed" also known as Easter Eggers or Olive eggers depending on the egg color that particular one lays
now Ameraucana on the other hand is a breed, no they dont have feathered feet,
