Just for laughs.......Sleeping quails

I was out cleaning the quail pen today (I have learned to never go out to the quail pen with out my camera) and saw these two sleeping in the sun. I managed to get only one pic before they woke up.
Scared the dickens out of me until I realized they were really sleeping.

That would have freaked me out a bit.

My chicks pulled the dead chick pose a couple of times. That always freaks me out. I admit it. I wake them up just to get them to sleep a different way when they are doing that.

My chicken chicks do that when I am cleaning out their pens. I always think they are playing opposum because the hawks are flying above. If I have the broom I have to give them a little poke or two and then they get upset and find another location to do their dead pose.
