Just got our chicks from cackle hatchery.

That's a box full of happiness right there!
Just watch to be sure all are finding and consuming water....and feed (though initially water is more important), monitor for pasty butt, etc.
Most importantly, take time to enjoy them...they grow SO fast, you'll miss it if you blink

If you raise the waterer up on something, it will help keep the shavings out. Platforms work well to put them on also.

Day 3 now? All are doing well. None of them are lethargic, all very active.
Have checked for pasty butt past couple days. Only 2 yesterday and 2 very minor today.

Maybe I'm going crazy but they look bigger already!

@ raised feeder/waterer. Thats a good idea. My only concern would be the silkies who do not seem to be great jumpers.
