Ugggg, luckily it wasn't after my chickens, yet. My dog started barking and I saw a dog, with a piece of rope behind it, running in my yard near my chicken pens. Grabbed the PB gun and fired. Hit it a few times, saw some bright green blobs on its side as it ran out of my yard and behind my house. Bet it's owners will wonder what it got into if it makes it home.

Good on you. It's too bad that the dog broke it's lead, but when it gets home, the paint splotches will be a sign to the owners that they need to shore things up just a bit if they want to keep their beloved pet.

Yea Chicky, thats kinda what I'm hoping for. It was just running around all crazy with its big tongue hanging out. I keep my PB gun by the door, ready to go. This was the first time i actually had to use it.

Wish we could see the owners face when they see their black and green dog.

We've had to do that before only our paint balls were pink....

As the owner of a rambunctious black Lab, I cringe. As a responsible pet owner, I say good for you!

Try to find out who owns the dog- and tell them next time, it won't be a paint gun. Or call in the law enforcement folks, if they'll actually do something. Out where we are calling the law is a waste of time.

I can see my coops all day- and I keep pepper spray in my pocket at all times. Works on 4 and 2 footed predators!

Well, I would try to contact the owners and tell them what happened. I, too, own a lab and know how they are. But, I would be upset if my dog had green paintball paint on it. Maybe if they knew the circumstances things wouldn't escualate to more.

So happy to see a dog shooting not involving real bullets. Hope the dog and more importantly, it's owners get the message.
