I’d check temps under there before leaving it all night you don’t want it too hot or too cold.
 
I don't know what to tell you. It's always a good idea to have a thermometer for the brooder so you can keep up with the temps. You'll have to watch and see how they are acting huddling under the heat cave or out from under it. I'd have them inside if mine. Until you can get an accurate temp in the outside brooder.
