The fluctuations wouldn’t kill them?
One or two degree fluctuation is not going to kill them no but when you take the lid off and let the incubator cool down 10° at a time yes.

unless that one or two degrees is getting up to 102 and 103 or 104 each time then yes that will kill them.

I made this just for you.:love

The time I have this egg out is how long it takes me to candle it.

My incubator, the one everyone loves to hate, doesn't drop more than one or two degrees while doing this.

Hm that makes sense. Although I thought cooldowns weren’t as bad as spikes? I guess maybe consistent cool downs multiple times a day though are. :hide

And it’s not but it has got to 100 and 101 before.

I meant take those two out and leave the other ones in.:barnie

I wasn’t sure cause you said leave them all in for now!! I thought that’s what you meant and had 3 of them out for a little bit but then when you said leave them all in I put them back in!!

You candle in that time!? How!? That was was like two seconds!!! :ep :th

No way I would even be able to have the egg positioned on that flashlight in that time let alone candled :lau :hide

But I guess I could still close the lid after I get an egg out.

But see, I think those foam type ones are easier to just crack a big or close quickly, mines like big and awkward and kinda hard to open and close without taking it off. Especially cause of the way the turner arm is situated.

But I gotta practice I suppose. :hide

I’m going to when I get home hah

Also, thanks for making the video! And all the help. :love

Even if it does mean I can’t blame the incubator anymore and am back to blaming myself :lau :hide

You can blame the incubator.... I'm okay with that.

I'll see if I can get somebody to film me tonight candling the eggs.

No more practicing for you during this next 10 days.
The less you mess with the eggs the better.

They've already been jacked with enough.

But I thought you said it wasn’t the incubator?

And wait... so now I shouldn’t hand turn? :barnie I’m so confused now. I thought the turner didn’t work well enough?

I don't like your turner. I can't tell if it is working properly or not.
Yes you should continue to turn the eggs yourself but do it quickly And for the love of money do not leave the incubator lid off.

I'm saying I don't care who or what you blame, blame whatever makes you feel better.
It makes no difference and I don't think it's worth blaming yourself.

Does that make sense?

It’s not. I tested it and it barely turned them.

I had the O side up, it rolled them so the O was on the side, then in a few hours the O was back on top! So it didn’t flip them over to the X side. Just barely rolled them, maybe half or a quarter, then back.

And oh okay I thought you were saying not to bother with it and just leave them alone haha
