I lost 1 of my eggs, it didn't develop. So I'm down to 11. Only lost 1 of my 10 backyard eggs.

Okay, I’m gonna change it up and start with the GOOD NEWS for once because I’ve been focused way too much on the negative/sending out way too much chaotic energy lately.

I apologize for that. I know this thread has been a bit of a mess.

Soooo....

I just went to turn the eggs again and candled a few while I was at it and.... I SAW SOME REAL LIVE WIGGLERS!!!!


I’ll try to get a video in a second but it was super duper exciting so I had to share!!!

Now, the reason for the candle, is less good, not exactly bad but just kinda frustrating. I wanted to make sure they were still alive because my mother had apparently turned the heat way up in my room at some point and I had my first real, actual, incubator temp spike because of it. Even the calibrated was reading at least 101 and who knows how long it was like that for!

I turned the heat down in the room and left the incubator lid open a bit while I turned, not totally off but open, to cool it down.

But the GOOD NEWS is THERES STILL AT LEAST TWO REAL LIVE BABIES!!!!!

Yeah, I realized as I was candling a second time that it might not be a good idea and/or mostly that I might be annoying the baby as it wasn’t dancing as much the second time so then I put it back and didn’t candle anymore eggs or anything. The video wasn’t working. It was making it SUPER dark so you couldn’t see anything.

But in person I could see him (sorry, HER ) very clearly and it was dancing and wiggling and it even kicked!

I’ve decided though I’m just gonna leave it alone aside from turning and checking the temp. Don’t wanna get too overexcited and start candling them all the time and kill them the last few days
