They sure can do that, eh?
Eggs are tough. Just this last spring, I received a box of eggs to hatch. They were well packaged, but had shaken loose, and most were broken, smashed, and not viable for hatching. Three were rolling around in the mash at the bottom, unbroken. I put them in the incubator. All three developed. One was a malpo, and didn't make it. The other two? Well, they busted out, and are two of my favorite chickens, currently.

That is an awesome story. :love

handling them helps a little and staying away from there girls
i always try to feed the rooster and let him call his girls over so he can provide the food but mostly ive found it comes down to your lead rooster to do the training
sid and squatch are the same age arent they so it will be tough for squatch to train him
i would try handing sid a bit to see if that helps

They sure are neat birds. Bantam mutts, but they're beauties with good personalities to boot! I look forward to some fun shrink ray business with the tiny rooster and my cream Brabanters. It'll be interesting to see what pops out of those eggs.

Bet that will be a lot of fun!!

I admit, I haven't been following. Are these fun mutts?

Not mutts but it is an assortment of a lot of different breeds. :D

No she got hers from Meyers. They're Lav Orps, and a bunch of other breeds.

I think I only got one or two Lav Orps but yup! Tons of different breeds! :D

A party pack!

:lau yup!!

Yup. She has a list of the breeds on the first page or second page. She got a good variety.

Turns out it’s the 4th :lau

I talk too much :hide

Here’s the posts on it haha

I’ve got so many cool breeds!! OMG!!!

They included this nice info sheet and stamped the eggs with the breed. I can’t quite decipher all of them, some are a bit smudged, but maybe there will be another stamp on the other side or something haha but from the ones I can decipher.... I’ve got some AWESOME ones!!! :love

Welsummer, lavender orpington,Blue Andalusian, Buff orpington, Black Australorp and more, what variety, cant wait till your 21 days are up. Congrats KDogg!

Yup!! Ordered 12, got 13, and of those 13 I am pretty sure I have 2 Welsummers, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Rhode Island Reds, a Barred Rock, a Buff Orpington, a Lavender Orpington, a Blue Andalusian, an Easter Egger, and then two others I can’t decipher. Pretty positive one is another Orpington but can’t tell which type. The other is another white one so could be another Blue Andalusian or could be a Light Brown Leghorn or a Black Sumatra. Hoping there is another stamp somewhere on it so I can tell. But I was really surprised by the variety!!! I read sometimes in winter the variety is less but I got a great variety!!

I can’t wait till 21 days is up either!! Lol

Thank you!!! :D
