I have the heater on the second height setting which might be too high but the first one just seemed soooo low and it said to make sure it’s high enough so they don’t touch it. I see why... felt it and it’s pretty hot. Worried he’ll burn if I put it lower. I think it’s low enough with the shavings in there.

He also didn’t seem interested in food but did drink.

I didn't even look up the one you bought but I remember reading threads about some plates burning chicks.

That’s why I set it to a higher height. I think it is high enough now it won’t burn him but idk.

But OMG now you have me worried!! I should have just bought a higher quality one like Premier or used the pad
