He really perked up once I took him out lol started screaming! But did sleep in my hands

I gave him a drink. He took maybe 5 sips, a couple on his own, a couple dipped beak (gently) and is now screaming his head off in the brooder LOL

he will probably scream a lot until others hatch....do you have a small stuffed animal that you could put in the brooder for him to snuggle with? i’ve found that helps with early hatchers

Shell looks pretty clean? A bit of blood but I don’t see any yolk in there.

Amazing set of lungs on the little thing.

I think it’s actually my fault... chick was fine under heat plate. Quiet. I took it out to take pictures of it’s butt for you guys and let it fall asleep against my chest after. It was screaming a bit so I cupped my other hand over its head to make it dark and it stopped screaming and fell sound asleep.

Put it back in the brooder after a few seconds cause I figured I probably shouldn’t mess with it much.... now it won’t stop screaming.

I think it misses me already.

I’m hoping maybe if I turn the lights off he’ll calm down.

He seems to be doing little happy chirps under the heat now and less frequent screaming.
