I ate entirely way too much! I'm not going to eat till Sunday. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

I use a heat lamp and I have it pretty high because my house is pretty warm. These chicks aren't growing as fast!

I ate way too much too. Mostly pie.

But I used the elliptical some after dinner

Heat lamps scare me lol I used MHP with my first two batches but thought I’d try the heat plate. Probably should have read more first but chick seems happy now.

I have had zero issues with my heat lamp. I used a reptile bulb that's only 75 watt. Outside I have a 250 watt but I'm turning it off this weekend. My chicks are full feathers.

Thanks! That’s good to know! Probably should have gone with that though I also don’t like it keeping them awake all the time. Idk. MHP/plate seemed more natural to me which I liked but all are probably perfectly fine.

my halloween babies are fully feathered too but still want their heat!! i’ve got to try to wean them off it this week and move them to the aviary next weekend.
