Wait until it's dark because if your light is not super bright and you try to candle in a 'regular' lit room you may not see anything.
A pitch black room is best.
It really does make a difference.

It’s super dark and rainy here and the incubator is in the hall which is pretty dark. I can shut all the doors to rooms that have windows and turn the lights off and it’ll be really dark haha

First get your paper.

Write down each number.
Get a pencil.
Grab the first egg, look, put it back, write down what you saw. Move on.
Pay attention to where you grabbed the egg to begin with....go in order of the row the eggs are in.

I didn't even take them out. Just go egg to egg in the incubator. Doesn't bother them and wont drop any either
