I see nothing wrong with "No Trespassing" or "No Poaching" or "Mitts off the fruit". People are stealing from you, so why be nice?

People who feel that entitled are not likely to pay attention to any sign, unless it has their name on it, since obviously you can't possibly mean them!

So sadly, I think signs are a waste of time. An electric fence, a mean-looking dog, and locked gate might help....

Get an electric fence and run it about 16" and 36" off the ground inside your chain link fence all around the fruit trees. Post a sign outside your property that simply says "No Tresspassing"

If they don't listen, they get a shocking surprise

I agree that the signs will be ignored.I would set up an electric fence WITH a sign: Electric Fence Installed Due To Thieves

When neighbors are stealing it is no time to be polite. I offer extra of anything I have,but steal it once and you will never be welcome in my home/yard again.Shoot, I will even ask a neighbor before I take seeds from a flower!

I had a sign made in town at one of those little printing shops when the neighbor kept hitting my gate causing about $500 in damage. She steals water. Told me it was shame I bought the property because she liked getting all the free food from my yard. She took my old tore apart air conditioner from the edge of my yard before I took it to the dump (weird and pack ratty). I put in a fence and dogs. We also make sure my dh is never outside without a rootbeer (the whole neighborhood thinks he's a drunk, lol) and we target practice from lawn chairs.

Property under video surveillance. Damage will be prosecuted!
Then when I got home from the print shop it seemed to make more sense to sharpie it to...
