Very good idea! Do you know where they are from?

FrChuck is coming, isn't he up by Lousiville, Shelley? I can't recall who all is coming from up there. I am pretty sure someone from southern IN is coming, though.... she just posted today on the chickenstock thread about it.

Shelley knows more about where everyone is than I do

Hey everyone....

I'm looking for wellsummer's.... A guy at the shepherdsville stockyard had some eggs and I fell in love with the spots....

Will anyone have any at the swap?? I wasn't planning on driving all that way but would ask Chuck to bring me back some...

Chuck lives in downtown Louisville and there are a few folks across the Ohio river in IN that said they were thinking of going....

I go to the Shepherdsville Stockyards almost every weekend... I sell goat's milk soap, duck eggs when I find them before they are broody... I just had a dozen Muscovy ducks hatch under my chicken coop.... the little rascal figured out I was taking the eggs out of the chicken coop she was laying and figured she'd squeeze under the coop to sit on them.... So if anyone wants some ducks let me know and I can send some with Chuck, if I can get ahold of him... I haven't heard from him in a long while....

I got 7 guineas from the stockyards a few weeks back and boy are they fun to watch... I'm still waiting to see which are males and females as they're still a bit young... anyone know a sure fire way to tell?? I've never had guineas before... I do love that my insect population is way down....

You should go to Sano sometimes, there were a lot of OEGB there this past week. I was thinking of getting a trio of red pyles for you, but decided against it.

About the only sure fire way to tell their sexes is by their call. The males just sound like 'cheet' 'cheet' 'cheet', and the females have a two-syllable call that kind of sounds like 'buckwheat'. I got 7 new guineas at the Sano auction this past Friday, and I know there are at least 2 females!!

One buff dundotte and one lavender. So out of my (now)19 guineas, I know that at least 4 are female

3 of these are still babies, and my adult hen is setting. I also have some eggs in the bator, so I should get some more. I hope I have more girls than I think though, or that will suck!! I believe of my 2 buff dundotte babies that are 'bigger' they are a male and a female. You're supposed to be able to tell with them by their color.

I also haven't heard from Chuck in a while, he hasn't been online that I know of. I need to call him and see what's up, maybe he's just super busy with his job?

hubby wants to lose the landline.

I guess fewer telemarketers would be nice. (but then what would I do with my air horn?

)

he also wants one with a plan so I can have the buddy list thing, because he and Jake get on the phone and four hours later... they're still on the phone.

(couple of gossipy old women, I tell ya....)

plus, I could put just about everyone I know on the buddy list and call them for free

I don't chat with that many people ont he phone, so it wouldn't be so bad.

downside is taking the thing with me and getting calls no matter where I am or what I'm doing.

meri

Just make sure that airhorn isn't in the next goody bag you give Layne...
