If it were coryza, would it only affect some of them? because the greater majority of the birds (all in the same coop) aren't affected at all.
I don't want to take in Cindy's babies and have them get sick if I have something serious here. I'll try calling that vet tomorrow, to see what they think I ought to do.

I'm so sorry yours are sick. I know how miserable it feels.
The necropsy told me mine had coryza. Not all of them had swollen faces, only one got a very swollen face. This one:
She died a few days ago.
All of my chickens have been dying one by one from it, not all at once. Some apparently catch it quicker than others, I read the incubation period for IC can be anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the bird and its over all level of health. Do yours have smelly snot? Mine smelled, which is a symptom of Coryza, but I thought they were just dirty from being sick and not cleaning themselves. I swear it smelled like nothing but nasty old bird.
You're lucky to have a vet that sees chickens! If you need more info you could always sacrifice one and take it to the diagnostic center here in Lexington for a necropsy. It only costs $10.
I think the guy that sold me the sick chickens travels all around. Someone else on here is weary of him and said that he sells in London, and the sick chicken guy told me once that he takes his birds to shows every month. I'm terrified now to get any birds except for chicks from a hatchery, especially because the avian leukosis this guy's chickens have is transmitted through eggs. (Coryza isn't though!)
