Kentucky people

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I just read some back posts and I do want to give my sympathy to Andora, about the loss of your pekin hen.

I have 8 mixed bantams right now. They are probably OEG crossed with some other small type or just OEG's mixed together. I think they are very cute, but definately not pure. When I get home I will post some pics. I recently got some rumpless/tufted araucana's chicks, these I will keep pure. I also have a white silkie rooster with a black hen and a splash hen.

Hello. I have been on this topic before, but has been a long time. I'm in Eastview. Have some young cuckoo marans, some blrw just starting to lay. Would like to find a few silkie chicks or some hatching eggs if anyone lives in the vicinity. Perry.

I have some white silkie eggs listed on the 24 hour auction thread from my son's birds. He wants another guinea pig, or another PBP (his died the other day), but he has to buy the guinea pig with his own money. The silkies are 'his' birds, so whatever is made from these eggs will be for him. Just thought I'd let you know

There are pics posted on there as well.

Thanks everyone! We were so sad that she died, it was so unexpected. I think she had a heat stroke. Now I'm paranoid and shoving my ducks in the sprinkler every afternoon if they aren't sitting in their water. I found this mini flower shaped sprinkler at Home Depot for $3 that is perfect for them, they LOVE it.

I got another Pekin from an elderly man in Sadieville yesterday. He's 10 months old, huge, and sooo funny. There's a video with both my ducks in it here:

I can't decide if my TSC Pekin is male or female. I'm hoping and leaning towards female!

Oh and Shelly, I never sent you your seeds to make up for the ones that didn't show up!!!!

I forgot to tell ya yesterday that Chuck is coming into town (with Flowerpot) to pick up some goslings - if you can get away and come on over, we're metting at Trays Garden in town (Columbia) about noonish.

Yeah, you can come out here, if ya want, too, cause I have to be home until Chuck calls me from Campbellesville (whenever that will be) he si supposed to be in town about 12:00 or 12:30 - central time

I have as much of the runs done as I can without going to get more chicken wire, and I have to get that at TSC (no one in town has the 6 foot wire). But you can check otu the chicken runs and waterfowl pen and the baby duckies and such.

HI CINDY!!!

it isn't the Look, it's the stench - duckies are so gross inside your house. I can't wait to move the older three outside to the new chicken run - but it's supposed to rain for four days, so they'll probably be inside til friday at least.

Squishy (the oldest) is probably a month old, now, but he is a bantam duck, so he is still small enough (he, heck, as much noise as he makes I think Squishy is a girl). Spiffy is two weeks younger than Squishy, and Sloopy is about three days younger than Spiffy is.
