If you need me to pick them up, let me know, and I can keep them here until saturday - then bring them out to ya, if you want.

I'm not sure I would trust your mailman to bring them.

meri

Really! He'd probably leave him in his truck and stop for an hour long lunch or something! I'll let you know when they arrive

Thanks Meri

Just call me when they call you, and I'll run in after them after I feed calves (only have three on the bottle, now, shouldn't take long to do).
If it is early, like 6 AM or something, I can run in before I feed calves.

Did they ship today? if so it'll be wednesday when they arrive.

so... I hear clucking outside, go to see who is begging treats, (it is a BR) and I see one of Miss Piggy's babies (they are older - she is in the nest laying an egg, so not around) has blood on its side. Not a ton of blood, a couple of spots, one above and one below a wing. Can't catch him to see if he's hurt (he is moving fine, but he stands with his eyes closed, soI think he may be in some pain.)

No idea what bit him, but it looks like a dog or coyote by the spacing of the blood spots.

I'll be able to catch him tonight when he goes into the coop - guess it'll have to wait until then to see how badly he is hurt. She had three girls and two boys - lost one boy to the coyote in the backyard that day, now the second roo is hurt - must mean the girls are smart enough not to get caught

Jamie called yesterday and said he saw a coyote coming my way, so I went out with the .22 - never saw the coyote, but I shot Jamie a couple of squirrels while I was out there

he was happy, he's gonna grill them this weekend along with the quail I sold him.

The funny part is, I've never been hunting in my life, but he and hubby went out (hunting squirrel) the other day (last week) and had a lot of shots, but didn't hit a thing - I hit these two twice each - leg shots to slow em down, and a head shot to finish them off. Only thing I didn't like was cleaning them - squirrels are hard to skin!!

I wish my pistol aim was as good as my .22 aim. But I'm working on it

hmmm... when is rabbit season? I got lots of rabbits here.....

Yes, I'm the soap lady at the Shepherdsville Stock Yards....

I'm thinking of going over to the "Awesome Flea Market" to see if they sell better there....

I love seeing all the regulars at the stock yards and I usually come home with something....

I love talking chickens/goats and of course soap.... I'm getting into some liquid soaps and some lotions.... I made some first aid salve and put some in lip tubes and now my son keeps his with him all the time to rub on bites....

My older GP decided that when one of my new guineas got too close to his barn stall that it must want to play with him and he ended up killing it and then decided he needed to clean up his mess and started to eat it when the younger GP came along and took it away from him but didn't eat it.... She prefers eggs over freshly dead animals....

When my baby chicks came, it was totally awesome... I love the little fluff balls.... I guess I'm gonna have to break down and order some Wellsummers and some more Aracunas.... I had to sell my EE Roo as he got too mean... When you attack the hand that feeds you, it is time to go!!
