Should there be a long piece of pink tissue hanging from it? I'm worried it's going to get infected... is there something I can do do? I'm. going to transfer to brooder in the morning.

That's the umbilical ...It will dry up and fall off...Use puppy pads or paper towel the first couple of days to keep umbilical area clean....Then switch to pine shavings...

I went to check on the little guy and see if he was dry and ready to move and found that he passed away. :/ Maybe a mix of being in the egg for so long and stress caused this. I feel like I did something wrong!
